Using different shutter speeds is a great way to a

Using different shutter speeds is a great way to add some dynamic to a shot. Doesn't have to be all in fast motion with lot of blur, just a hint can give that extra 5% to an image.
I like to mix up my shots when being ou with the floating hide with some panning shots while the birds slowly glides through the water. Gives an extra touch of softness to the water and background. And if you execute it correctly you can still have pin sharp subjects.
These are taken with 1/15 of a second with 840mm lens setup. .
